Kids on Swing

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held at East Haddam Town Beach

On Friday, July 30th, 2021, East Haddam Parks and Recreation representatives and installer Quinn McKenna of InCord met at the local Town Beach play area to officially unveil the newest piece of play equipment- a NetPlay USA Bird’s Nest swing.

Kids from the summer Parks and Rec program gathered to swing and sway on the eye-catching green Nest, while delighted visitors and friends looked on.

Quinn McKenna, Sales Manager at InCord, and Kevin Biancamano, CPSI for InCord and NetPlay USA installed the new structure last year before the start of the pandemic. So, while it has been available for park goers for some time, it was only now that representatives were able to gather and make the structure official.

NetPlay USA, based in neighboring Colchester, happily donated the Bird’s Nest to the town so that children would have a safe, exciting structure to engage with while enjoying the local town beach.

“We are always looking for ways to give back to our community, so when Lisa Conroy approached us about adding some new life to the play area here, we jumped at the chance to give the gift of play to our neighbors,” says McKenna.

NetPlay is also in the process of upgrading the Colchester Rec Plex with all new structures to create a safer, more inviting play area.
